Frantic Forces is a last-man-standing wave-based three-dimensional bullet-hell minigame in which you have to avoid being crushed by crates.
Description[edit]
Every few seconds, all crates get launched randomly. Sometimes they all go into different directions, sometimes they all share the same direction. If a crate hits you, you're out. Over the course of the match, the duration of waves gets shorter, and their violence grows stronger.
Strategies[edit]
Don't look at shadows[edit]
Beginners tend to focus on the shadows, don't do that, they are not representative, as the light is a pointlight so the further you go from the center, the more skewed the shadows become. Towards the edges, no shadows will even be visible before it hits you in the head. Just look at the crates instead.
If you must look at the shadows, do so only near the center of the container.
Surviving the first wave[edit]
During the very first wave, the most predictable yet deadliest wave of all, beginners tend to want to run away from the central crates, leading them to the edges of the container. This usually leads to quick death, as the very first wave always causes the crates to shoot up in a high arc towards the edges.
It sounds counter-intuitive, but during the very first wave it's important to always run towards the central stacked crates. Once you've survived the first wave, your average survival time goes up dramatically.
First person camera[edit]
First person mode might help beginner players who lack skillful third-person camera control, but it does have a drawback of not knowing what's behind you, which can become problematic.
Trivia[edit]
- Only map where the in-game camera is allowed out of bounds.
- The breakable chains on the ceiling can occasionally survive the violent first wave.
- The corners of the container have a slight diagonal invisible wall to patch an otherwise powerful corner camping strat.
- The crates when laying still can be inconsistent to jump over.
